Maintenance of large-scale industrial equipment requires a lifting mechanism that meets certain requirements. Then it is necessary to design a lifting equipment that meets these requirements. In this design the requirement is to be able to lift as much as 10 tons, can be operated in a limited space and must be free from sparks. The design of this lifting mechanism is used to lift a pump with a diameter of 744 mm and a length of 6,000 mm. During this time the activity of lifting the pump was carried out using a Tower Crane over the roof of the building with a height of about 30 meters. The use of Tower Crane must be rented at a cost of hundreds of millions of rupiah for one maintenance, therefore the problem that will be solved is how to design a lifting mechanism that is in accordance with the above conditions with a fairly light weight. The goal to be achieved is to design an efficient lifting mechanism. The scope of this design is that the load analyzed is static.
