Improving Children's Cognitive Ability Early Through the Method to Calculate with Using the Numbers Tree Media

Abstract

Title: "Improving Cognitive Ability of Early Childhood Through Calculation Method Using Number Tree Media". This study aims to: (i) describe and analyze the cognitive abilities of young children who use the Number Tree learning media compared to using ordinary learning media, and (ii) describe the picture of implementing the implementation of the Number Tree learning media in Early Childhood in Raudhatul Athfal PAUD (RA) City of Bandung. This research uses a quantitative approach while the research method used is a quasi-experimental method carried out in RA Muslimin. This research is based on the findings in the field of the learning process in improving cognitive abilities performed using varied educational play tools, counting using the number tree media is a new method applied to facilitate children in improving cognitive abilities. Using the numeracy method with number tree media tends to be more enthusiastic, interested, and more enthusiastic when participating in learning. The development of children's cognitive abilities in RA Muslimin after learning the method of arithmetic with the media tree numbers increased better than before using the media tree numbers. This can be seen from the results of the study before the treatment of 14.50 and after the treatment was given increased to 22.13.
