The Influence of Workload and Work – Family Conflict on Employee Performance Moderated by Social Support

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of workload and work-family conflict on the performance of employees, and to analyze the role of social support in moderating the influence of workload and work-family conflict on employees’ performance. The research population was all the employees of Tijili Hotel Group, with a total number of 290 people. There were 125 employees who were selected as the research sample using the purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique used was the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The analysis results showed that workload and work-family conflict has a negative and significant influence on the performance of Tijili Hotel Group employees. The results also showed that social support was statistically capable of moderating the influence of workload and work-family conflict on the performance of Tijili Hotel Group employees.
