Improvement Of Dc Grid Performance Integrated Solar Pv System Using A Three- Port Converter

Abstract

The autonomous solar panel is connected to the grid through three port converters (TPCs) and its control strategies are explained in this paper. Each TPCs input-port is connected to an PV energy source to track the MPPT and the output port of these TPCs are connected to the dc bus. The main objective is to reduce the mismatch voltage and power at the low voltage dc bus. To reduce the shading loss, the different approaches are applied in PV design. In the proposed work three port converter is used to compensate the loss occur during the shaded condition and also to track the MPPT operating point. The drawbacks of DC-DC converter are power loss take place in the converter under normal operating condition. This is overcome by three port converter under shaded and unshaded PV array.
