Abstract

Organisational culture is a body of traditions and norms which an organisation uses to develop elements or systems to solve its internal and external problems. It is a system of expectations and meanings shared by individuals who are collectively involved in specific actions in order to achieve a common goal beneficial to all, and which may be unachievable by, or difficult for, only one individual. The present paper reviews the link between organisational culture and service quality among service institutions such as higher institutions of learning in the context of Saudi Arabia. The review establish that the empirical literature supports significant linkage between an organisation’s culture quality of its service offerings. Specifically, the cultural dynamics of higher education institutions significantly influences students’ perceptions of the quality of services they received. Implications of the findings were also documented.
