Abstract

As we are living in a digital era, unpredicted amount of data has been continuously generated, collected and stored from different sources. The data collected may be structured, unstructured or semi structured which demand to extract useful insights from data. Likewise in healthcare the data or reports generated in different forms for the purpose of clinical diagnosis and data analysis. These reports are to be preprocessed and consolidated in order to prevent the complications and to identify, monitor and track high risk patients. A prioritized care should be provided using advanced technology. There is a necessity to have a mechanism to integrate this heterogeneous form of data. Besides number of traditional techniques and algorithms, recently machine learning algorithms widely adopted in various complex data-intensive domains more importantly in the field of healthcare. This paper highlights the assessment through a questionnaire based survey to understand the necessity of having a standard model for integrating heterogeneous clinical reports and process them using machine learning model for better patient care.
