Workplace Spirituality and Emotional Regulation as Determinants Factors of Workplace Well-being Teachers

Abstract

Improving the well being of teachers in schools is an important issue that needs to be addressed. Currently found many problems related to teachers and affect the professionalism of teachers in teaching. This study aims to examine the effect of workplace spirituality and emotional regulation on teacher's wellbeing. This study involved 60 special school teachers in the districts of Banyumas and Purbalingga, Central Java, Indonesia. The research instruments were workplace spirituality scale (α = 0.909), emotion regulation scale (α = 0.882) and workplace well-being scale (α = 0.921). The results of data analysis obtained the value of F = 80.218 at a significance level of 5% with a value of P = 0,000 (p <0.05). Obtained R square = 0.738, which means workplace spirituality and emotional regulation has a contribution of 73.8% of the workplace wellbeing. Thus 26.2% of workplace wellbeing of teachers is determined by other factors. There is a need for further research that examines the external factors that affect the teacher's workplace wellbeing.
