This study aims to conduct a study of the construction of multicultural awareness in the midst of religious life plurality in the Pemenang, North Lombok Regency. Multicultural awareness implemented by the community consisting of three groups of different religions, namely Islams, Hinduism and Buddhism based on local wisdom in the form of polong renten. This research was designed in a qualitative descriptive research using a case study model. This study found three findings that are very important for improving the quality of inter-religious harmony. Firstly, the local wisdom of polong renten as a foundation in realizing a multicultural life whose existence is still maintained today because it contains the noble values of past civilizations which are the spirit of realizing social harmony. Secondly, the function of local wisdom of polong renten in the social plurality in Pemenang relates to efforts to build harmony, create togetherness, establish cooperation, foster an attitude of religious tolerance, and strengthen social ties. Thirdly, the multicultural consciousness construction model among religious believers based on local wisdom of polong renten is actualized through awareness to accept differences that exist in the plurality of social spaces. In connection with that, in the strengthening of harmony among religious believers, collaboration between religious leaders and empowerment of the “Forum Kerukunan Umat Beragama) (FKUB) as a forum relating to fostering harmony among religious believers are needed as a forum for resolving issues involving interfaith religion.
