Gas Dynamics Simulation of Detonation Initiation in Pyrolysis Products

Abstract

The analysis of the results of numerical simulation of detonation initiation process in a stoichiometric propane-air mixture simulating air mixtures of polyethylene and rubber pyrolysis products is carried out. The critical conditions for detonation initiation are revealed. The optimal geometric parameters of the detonation initiation section are determined. The data obtained can be used in the development of promising devices for detonation utilization of industrial and household waste.
