The article is devoted to the analysis of legal regulation of Internet services in the Russian Federation. The article considers the general legal characteristics of the obligations on the provision of Internet services, which has allowed the authors to formulate theoretical and practical proposals to improve legislation and law enforcement practice. The authors have studied approaches to the formation of the concept of Internet service, have analyzed the normative legal regulation of relations on rendering of Internet services, and have identified certain types of obligations on rendering of Internet services. Besides, the authors have focused on the study of the features of providing certain types of Internet services. Conclusions have been made concerning modernization of the Russian legislation in the field of regulation of relations in rendering Internet services by introducing amendments to existing normative legal acts. Several measures on improvement of quality of rendering Internet services have been offered.
