The search engine is playing a very vital role in query processing for the knowledge base over the web data. This is implemented using web mining Techniques. Web data is normally unstructured data stored in the form of web log files. Retrieving of relevant information is one of the tedious tasks. To retrieve the vital information, we need to preprocess the web data by using various preprocessing technique, this approach is basically used to perform the web analysis. This analysis is useful to get frequently used web data. In the earlier papers, most of the data was analyzed using click base ranking and frequently accessible pages these approaches contain numerous disadvantages in getting the prevalent information. In this paper, we proposed an algorithm for preprocessing the weblog data called a time-based analysis by considering the sessionid and url.
