A diploma is a sign of evidence or a document of recognition for completion of the education that a student has traveled. Diploma is certainly very valuable because it is used as a tool in conducting various activities such as documents in applying for work. In field studies, there was a violation of the law, a fraud case for the purpose of obtaining a decent job. Although the diploma is very easy to counterfeit, it causes the difficulty of ensuring the validity of the document. The presence of blockchain technology in the 4.0 era is expected to be utilized in the world of education by applying the advantages owned by the blockchain is a decentralized system and cryptography, then the existence of blockchain technology will be able to eliminate the existence of a false diploma and able to prove the validity of a diploma for prospective job applicants, effectively, efficiently and transparently. The study adopted two methods namely, the method of descriptive analysis and the library study method. Blockchain is expected to contribute success and improve the quality of national education.
