ANALYTICAL STUDY OF MULTISTORY BUILDING (G+5) FOR BASE SHEAR AND STORY SHEAR BY CONVENTIONAL METHOD AND ETAB SOFTWARE PROGRAMME

Abstract

The multistory RC building are more complicated against seismic & wind analysis and tough for calculations of building by conventional method like Modal Mass, various moments and Base shear & Story Shear. To ensure safety against seismic force the multi-storied building is analyzed to know the seismic behavior on building. In this paper, G+ 5 stories building (3D) consists 4bays @ 4m in X-axis and Z-axis. The Y- axis consists of height of floors and there is 7 floors including terrace & Plinth. The building is analyzed by conventionally as well as ETAB Software Programme for Modal Mass and Base Shear & Story Shear. The Conventional Methods are includes ResponseSpectrum Method&Static Equivalent Method. In Response Spectrum Method the Eigen value and Eigen vectors are required to calculate Modal Mass, the Eigen Values and Eigen Vectors are calculatedby MathCad software.
