Abstract

Although fingerprint evidence are one of the mature physical evidence linking a expect to the crime. Estimation of age from the finger print of unknown person being is an emerging field of engineering study. Relatively small mechanism vision methods have been proposed for Age identification. Many techniques used the parameters like ridge count and ridge breadth of a given finger print to estimate the age value of that individual person. This research paper is to estimate the age beside with their association frequency domain and spatial domain techniques were implemented. The 2D Discrete Wavelet’s (DWT) beside with SVD technique both the methods used to approximate the age of human through finger prints. The database which contains around 1050 finger print images of individuals comprising different age ranges of 10 to 50 is considered for our research work. Minimum distance classifier is used for finger print classification.
