Abstract

Sustainable urban planning using data analytics is the need of the hour for improving the Indian economical situations. The situation is India is becoming worsening every day due to multiple complex systems compete for limited resources like water, sanitation, energy, housing and transportation. This leads to a variety of socio-economic problems where the unprivileged is suppressed and rejected in society, leading to poverty and ill health. To solve these real life problems it becomes essential to leverage data science and its versatile tools. The proposed work identifies an individual’s requirement, for his needs, and collects data in the form of crowdsourcing. A crowd manager collects the data and stores it in a public cloud and sends it for processing to an analytical engine which uses Random Forest algorithm for creating a multitude of decision trees. Further a Recommendation System captures the data for learning and predicts the most likely, need of the hour development, using collaborative filtering algorithm. Thus our proposed method can provide a new source of evidence for good governance and funding agencies for better.
