Abstract

Anticipating the increasing of ship calls/ traffic/ arrival rate at the Port of Tanjung Priok, it is necessary to optimize the quality and the performance of the pilot age services. The highest data is 3254 movements/month in December 2016, and the lowest is 1915 movements/month in July 2015 and the average is 2447movements/month. Ship calls data is based on the analyzed samples, the largest number is 677 ship calls in January 2016 and the smallest number is 473 ship calls in November 2015, and the average number of ship calls is 516 ship calls /month. The pilot age service queue at the Port of Tanjung Priok is strongly influenced by adequate pilot age fleet availability/readiness. Research Results: The Pilot age Armada Utilization=ρ= λ /(sμ)=70%, with using 4 group of pilot age armada, these is in the over utilized stage. The length/ number of ships queuing = 14.97 ships. The waiting time for ships queuing = 3.42 hours = 205.34 minutes, The length/number of ships in the system = 21.82 ships. Ship Spend Time of in system = 4.99 hours
