Women Driving in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia-Will It Facilitates Country’s Economic Development? An Empirical Analysis

Abstract

This study attempts to document the impact on socio-economic development that is linked to the announcement of women driving in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 emphasizes on producing a balanced, collaborative workforce with gender equality. This study seeks to identify various variables which play a decisive role in accelerating the nation’s progress as well as turning attention to the critical variables that are vital in creating a congenial driving environment. This research also seeks to ascertain the perception of Saudi females about the decision allowing them to drive in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Research methodology zeroes in on the primary data collected randomly from 125 samples of Saudi females. Saudi women are poised to be further empowered, as a sustained effort is being made to blend sustainable, progressive, vibrant and dynamic society with embedded Islamic values.
