Enhancing Transmission Efficiency Using Link based Scheduling in MANET

G. Arulkumaran, P. Balamurugan and J. Santhosh
Abstract

Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) has unstructured infrastructure and form arbitrary topologies. In this paper the MANET transmission efficiency is demonstrated depend on the amount of packet generated in a node and also packets transmitting through the node. Depend on the node location on MANET, nodes require different throughput. To enumerate the throughput of a node the transmission demand and Link State Scheduling (LSA) is proposed. This transmission demand improves the transmission efficiency based on channel utilization by introducing Pollaczek – Khintchine (P-K) formula is also proposed to include the average delay computations. This proposed LSA provides elevated throughput and less average delay compare to BSA and HNN – GA in other networks.
