Analyzing the Role of Employee Commitment in the Relationship between Organizational Culture and Employee Performance in Sector Steel Sector

Abstract

In the modern age of high level technology and dynamism, organizational culture is expected to be crucial for top management in business environment for formulating new business model. It can be linked with employee commitment and performance for long term sustainability. In this context, the present research paper is about investigating the cause-effect relationship among organization culture, employee commitment and employee performance, selecting two major steel companies located in Odisha state of India. In total, 300 sample employees were selected from Tata Steel Ltd and Rourkela Steel Plant in stratified random manner and primary data were collected through the structured and valid questionnaire. Descriptive statistical analysis was made taking the support of SPSS 22, and then Structural Equation Models were created & analyzed through Amos 17. Findings implicate that there exists direct impact of organization culture on employee performance, but the mediation effect of employee commitment in this link is partially true.
