ANALYSIS OF EXPRESSION AND AIZUCHI FUNCTIONS A CASE STUDY IN DRAMA: RISOU NO MUSUKO EPS. 1

Abstract

Aizuchi is an expression in Japanese that serves to indicate that the other person is giving a response, attention or understanding the content of the topic of conversation expressed by the speaker. Aizuchi is widely used in various Japanese conversations to make it feel stiff. The purpose of this study is to find out the form of expressions of aizuchi expressions and to know the function of aizuchi in the conversation. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative research approach, the data object is a speech utterances in the form of aizuchi contained in the drama Risou no Musuko episode 1. The data collection technique used is the technique of referring and recording.From the analysis of the discussion it can be concluded that the aizuchi in the drama Risou no Musuko episode 1 has 30 forms of aizuchi which are divided into six categories, namely unazuki, odoroki, kanshin wo shimesu, ryoukai, doui, and jyouho.While the aizuchi function in this drama is divided into 5, among others, the sign of the partner speaking is listening to the speaker, the partner partner's speech understands the contents of the conversation, the sign of the partner's denial of the speaker's content, and expressions of feelings such as surprise, pleasure, sadness, anger sympathy, affection, inferiority, wonder and others.
