This work deals with modeling and investigation of performance of Luo Converter (LC) and Buck Boost Converter with Coupled Inductor (BBCCI) operating at same input voltage and DC loads at the output. The objective of the present work is to diagnose a suitable step up converter to feed a DC load. Open loop Simulink models was developed for LC and BBCCI system operating at the same switching frequency and simulation studies are performed for these system. The hardware results are compared with simulation results using MATLAB. This simulation and hardware results indicate that BBCCI delivers higher power to the load than LC system.
