Impact of Information and Communication Technology on the Professional Development of School Teachers

Abstract

This research article focuses its attention on the information and communication technology on the professional development of school teachers in Tirunelveli district. The authors adopted survey method for collecting the data. The authors prepared and validated a scale to measure ICT scale on Professional Development and Educational Needs of School Teachers. All the teachers working in schools in Tirunelveli Educational District formed the population of the present study. The investigator took 120 teachers working in different schools using simple random sampling technique. For analyzing the data, the investigator used Mean, SD, ‘t’ Test, ‘F’ test and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation.
